THANK YOU
Brittany Johnson came today to talk to me about the families here and how the Covid-19 has affected us.
• How has this affected us? Well one way it did not affect us…the isolate or shelter in place, we have always been somewhat isolated and sheltered in place, so we are blessed in the regard that we have by the grace of God had no incidents of Covid-19.
• We have also become closer to each other in that we rely on each other; I think we realized we are in this almost alone, somewhat forgotten.
• We have had some fun, meals we have cooked, laughed with each other, shared heartache, joy we have had mother’s day and Easter together. We have become more of a family some of us.
Britany Johnson, a reporter with WSOC, has met with some of the residents who live here and myself to talk about what life is really like when your home is a hotel room. Her interviews have been shared on WSOC with viewers as a way to make others aware of things that are needed and how we have met each challenge head-on.

We have prayed together, we have talked about reliance on God who is ultimately in control. We have battled some depression together; I have done more talking and praying than ever before.
• We were already in a difficult situation to begin with, a daily struggle for the underemployed and working poor, then the government gave them a little hope a stimulus check, that is gone and rent continues to add up. We may be in a worse position than before, there is not more money forthcoming, the jobs are not there, and this is a time we have to rely on God even more. What will the next two months look like?
