Services Offered
Several services are offered for families who stay at Brookwood Inn. I truly want families to feel as though they are at home, which is why I offer dinners, crafts, and special events for adults and children. In order to make these events happen, the Statesville community comes together to offer donations including money for rental assistance and celebrations that we have during the year. We rely on donations from the community for everything from diapers for the babies who stay here with single mothers or parents to snacks that children can enjoy when they get home from school. My ministry does not receive assistance from the government as I rely on donations for all areas of assistance in order to help those who want to succeed.
Budgeting
Rental Assistance
One of the primary goals that I have for my families is getting them into a home of their own. I offer budgeting classes so that they can make wise decisions about how to spend the money that they make each week or each month.
Sometimes, families reach out for help if their children are sick or if emergencies arise that prevent them from being able to pay for the entire week to stay at the hotel. This is where the ministry comes into play as I try to offer as much assistance as possible to keep families in their rooms until they can move to a home. Businesses, churches, and individuals often help with rental assistance when needed. Anyone who wants to help can bring a donation to the front office and receive a card and receipt in return as all donations are put directly onto the balance of a room.
Bible Classes
A service that I offer that many hotels don't is a Bible class. I want families to know the love of the Lord and come to know Christ as a friend and Savior while they are staying at the hotel. Bible classes are held each week and are encouraged for those who are seeking assistance.
Essential Tools

When families stay here, they might not have the things that they need as they could have left a domestic situation or a condemned home. Families often receive cooking supplies that can be used in a hotel room, clothing, and healthy foods if they are unable to purchase them.
